In recent times, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) has made the society’s view of martial arts to be very violent, with cage fighting and the glorified brutal beat downs. To most people, it’s entertainment, but has no higher value. It’s very primal, and the art has diminished.
If you look at the origins of martial arts, like for example Kung Fu. The word ‘Kung Fu’ doesn’t mean fighting or beating somebody down. In Chinese, ‘Kung Fu’ or ‘Gung Fu’ means achieving perfection through hardwork. It’s about the art of improvement and discipline. It’s about raising the human potential to new levels. It is the art of ‘martial arts’.
But the problem is, in today’s society it’s all about the chase towards a false image of martial art is. It has become all about the number of belts or dans that you get.
If you strip away all the media, all the distractions and things that we’re shown to be what a martial artist is and bring back the art of martial arts, it’s about taking yourself to the next level physically, mentally and spiritually.
In the old days, martial artists were the heroes of society, like the knights in shining armour. And they achieved this because they refused to be average. They worked and raised themselves to levels beyond that of most people in physicality, mentality, inner wisdom and spirituality.
So Invincible Worldwide’s aim is to build heroes in society. It’s about empowering people to be a hero, an artist, a leader, an alpha – a quality human being who strives towards self-perfection, to be an artist of life.
Imagine if everyone in the world was to strive towards becoming a higher quality person everyday, the world would be a much better place.
This is the dream..
