The TOUCHDOWN RAIZ | Tricking Form Optimisation Series

The Touchdown Raiz is initiated in the same manner as a normal Raiz however after take off, one hand will touch down to the ground before the feet land. The hand that touches down is on the same side as the initial kicking leg. So after the lift off the hand reaches back towards the shoulder and the back should arch allowing you to spot the ground. Make contact first with the hand then as the lead foot touches the ground push the hand off the ground and begin lifting up the chest. (Credit: Club540)

The TORNADO KICK | Tricking Form Optimisation Series

The Tornado Kicks come in many versions, including the Backside 900 and Cheat 900 Kick. The difference between these kicks is in the number of body rotations and the take off. In taekwondo the 360 and 540 kicks are normally done as Roundhouse Kicks (striking the target with the top of the foot), but variations of these kicks can also be done as Crescent Kicks (striking the target with the inside of the foot) and Hook Kicks (striking the target with the back of the heel).

The BUTTERFLY TWIST | Tricking Form Optimisation Series

The Butterfly Twist is used in various martial arts, including Wushu and Capoeira. Its wushu name is xuàn zi zhuàn tǐ , and its Capoeira name is “mariposa” which literally means “butterfly”. A butterfly twist can be described as a butterfly kick where a 360° spin is added once one is in the air.

The DOUBLE LEG | Tricking Form Optimisation Series

TRICKING | THE DOUBLE LEG is a move that originated from Capoeira and has been incorporated into tricking. Both legs remain together during the take off and execution. After the take off, the torso stays upright and vertical, but will begin to quickly torque in order to swing the legs around and upwards. At the peak of this move, the body is in the shape of a “V”. The legs continue to swing over as the body straightens out for the landing.

[NEW VIDEO] INVINCIBLE | Motivational Strength, Martial Arts and Tricking Training

INVINCIBLE is about becoming physically and mentally extraordinary. It is about improving yourself through training, to live in peak experience where you feel totally in control, alive and powerful.

Here are 5 areas of performance that you want to focus on in your training program to build a peak performance body:

  • SPEED – Lightning fast strikes, reaction and agility
  • STRENGTH – Building a fit, functional and strong body
  • POWER – Physiological explosiveness (plyometrics) and internal power (chi energy)
  • SKILLS – Tricks, self-defence techniques, striking techniques, acrobatics, gymnastics
  • MINDSET – Self-Leadership, self-confidence, motivation

In speaking to hundreds of people who want to get into training, not everyone wants to learn how to beat down others. But almost everyone wants to learn how to get themselves stronger, fitter, faster and build a more functional body. And they all want to do it with a supportive and motivating fitfam!

So we spent years studying and putting together a program called P3MA (Peak Physical Performance Martial Arts). It’s not designed to teach a style of martial arts. Style separates people. The program builds physical capabilities and mindset with the aim to empower the world to be better, through self-mastery, not violence. It draws influence from traditional and modern martial arts, fitness and cross-training methodologies. The different arts include Jeet Kune Do, Shaolin Kung Fu, Wing Chun, Tae Kwon Do, and Tricking. Currently, the program is offered at our Invincible HQ training center in Wetherill Park, Sydney, Australia. Click here for more info about Invincible HQ.

The 3 Levels of Mastery | ALPHA MINDSET SERIES

“How you do one thing is how you do everything…”

If you want to achieve higher results in anything that you do, whether it be training, studying, working or even playing a game, here’s a framework that helps to guide you to perform on an extraordinary level.

The 3 LEVELS:

  • AMATEUR | The lowest level of quality. The Amateur is mediocre and average. Striving for nothing more than simply to just do what is.
  • ATHLETE | The Athlete aims for more, works hard and puts in the work.
  • ARTIST | The Artist is the athlete who has achieved a certain level of mastery in their craft. Through determination, effort and time, they are able to execute their craft with poise, beauty, control and mastery.

The word ‘Kung Fu’ doesn’t mean fighting or beating somebody down. In Chinese, ‘Kung Fu’ or ‘Gung Fu’ means achieving perfection through hardwork. It’s about the art of improvement and discipline. It’s about raising the human potential to new levels. It is the art of ‘martial arts’.

So Invincible Worldwide’s aim is to build heroes in society. It’s about empowering people to be a hero, an artist, a leader, an alpha – a quality human being who strives towards self-perfection, to be an artist of life.

Imagine if everyone in the world was to strive towards becoming a higher quality person everyday, the world would be a much better place.

This is the dream..

The JKD PUNCH | P3MA SKILLS TRAINING #10

The JKD Punch is a fast, powerful and unconventional punch that you add to your arsenal.

IMPORTANT TIPS:

– Stay relaxed until the very final moment of impact. It is like a whip. Everything is relaxed to maximize speed, and everything tenses to maximize power just before impact.

– Do not pull back your fist before the punch. This telegraphs your movements. Most arts and fighting styles use this pull back motion to get more momentum and build power through the arm’s motion. However, this is not required, because power is generated through the body and twist of the hips, for this punch.

– To generate more power, push off the back foot, twist the hips and allow the energy to flow into the punch. It is all about timing.

The Triangle Theory In Blocking | P3MA SKILLS TRAINING #9

The triangle is the strongest shape. In Wing Chun, this shape is applied into blocking to maximise the strength and stability through structure.

IMPORTANT TIPS:

– Focus on blocking into your opponent’s center line to cut into their attack and force them back. Do not focus on blocking their hands, or you will end up forever blocking.

– Aim to apply weight from your Dan Tien (center), rather than using only the strength of your arms.

– Breathe out from the stomach upon impact

The Leading Punch | P3MA SKILLS TRAINING #8

The Leading Punch is the main punch used in Jeet Kune Do. It is a direct, fast and powerful punch thrown from the front hand. It relies on relaxation and a quick snap for speed. It generates power from the torque of the hips, timing and leverage from the rear foot.

PROGRESSION:

1. Stay loose and snap the punches out, however do not fully extend your elbows to prevent injury. Your punches should feel like whipping a towel.

2. Begin to twist your hips into the punch, adding more of your body weight.

3. Punch from wherever your hands are, do not pull back before the punch. Punch on a diagonal slant and make contact with the largest knuckles.

4. Power comes from proper timing. Perfect timing is when your upper body tenses at the very last second, hips twists and rear foot pushes off. This is the most difficult aspect of the punch.

– Do not cross your hands, keep both hands in line
